METALDERB
Innovative Complex for Cellular Detoxification and Protection During Chronic Exposure to Heavy Metals
METALDERB is a premium food supplement from Derbós’ ADVANCE range, developed to support the body during chronic exposure to low levels of heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, aluminium, nickel, uranium, chromium and tin.
Unlike aggressive emergency chemical chelation, METALDERB works through sustained physiological intervention.
It targets three key stages:
blocking absorption;
interrupting enterohepatic recirculation - the “cycle” of substances between the liver and the intestines;
neutralising oxidative stress.
Recommendations for Use
METALDERB is recommended for adults who wish to supplement their diet with a complex of microalgae, plant and mushroom extracts, amino acids, probiotic yeast, zinc and B vitamins.
The product is suitable:
during increased exposure to polluted urban or occupational environments;
when additional antioxidant support is required;
to support normal energy-yielding metabolism;
during periods of tiredness and fatigue;
to supplement the diet with zinc and vitamins B6, B9 and B12;
to support normal homocysteine metabolism;
when the diet provides insufficient amounts of microalgae and plant phytonutrients;
as part of a balanced regimen aimed at maintaining the body’s natural antioxidant protection.
Zinc contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamins B6, B9 and B12 contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism, while vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal immune system function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Mechanisms of Action of the Active Ingredients and Their Synergy
1. Cellular Binding and Interruption of Intestinal Absorption
Broken-cell-wall Chlorella: A special process is used to weaken or break down the cell wall, improving the absorption and bioavailability of its nutrients. Chlorella acts as a high-affinity physical adsorbent in the digestive tract. Its cell walls contain functional groups that capture the metal cations of lead, mercury and cadmium, helping to prevent their absorption in the intestines and interrupting their reabsorption through the bile.
Spirulina: Complements the action of Chlorella by providing powerful physical adsorption and binding of heavy metals along the intestinal tract.
Saccharomyces boulardii: A probiotic yeast that protects the digestive mucosa. It optimises the microbiome and preserves the integrity of the intestinal epithelial barrier. In this way, it acts as a “biological filter”, limiting the passage of toxins and metals into the bloodstream.
2. Tissue Mobilisation and Liver Protection
Coriander extract (Coriandrum sativum) – 150 mg, providing 3.6 mg of essential oil: Once the intestinal barrier is protected, coriander facilitates the controlled mobilisation of accumulated heavy metals from the peripheral tissues and nervous system, transporting them safely towards the excretory pathways.
Maitake extract – 100 mg, providing 30 mg of polysaccharides, and Chaga extract – 100 mg, providing 30 mg of polysaccharides: This powerful mushroom fraction supplies specific polysaccharide-protein complexes. These provide additional biosorption of heavy metals and exert a powerful hepatoprotective effect, which is necessary for processing the circulating toxic load.
3. Endogenous Glutathione and Antioxidant Protection
L-Methionine – 150 mg and N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) – 100 mg: Key precursors for the synthesis of endogenous glutathione - the body’s primary protective system responsible for the neutralisation and transport of metals with an affinity for sulfhydryl groups. They protect cells against oxidative damage during the mobilisation of toxins.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) – 50 mg: A universal antioxidant that complements this protection by preserving mitochondrial function. It helps prevent heavy metals from compromising cellular energy production during the detoxification process.
4. Ionic Antagonism and Methylation
Zinc – 2.5 mg (50% NRV)*: Through ionic mimicry and competitive antagonism, zinc occupies enzymatic binding sites and blocks the absorption of toxic metals, preventing the body from mistakenly absorbing them instead of essential minerals.
Vitamins B6 (1.4 mg), B9 (200 µg) and B12 (2 µg): Optimise the liver’s methylation pathways. This is a critical biochemical step required for the successful biotransformation and elimination of complex metalloids such as arsenic.
Ingredient Purity Assurance
In nature, medicinal mushrooms such as Chaga and Maitake and microalgae such as Chlorella and Spirulina have an exceptionally strong natural affinity for heavy metals. For this reason, when cultivated or harvested in an uncontrolled environment, they can easily absorb and accumulate contaminants from the soil, water or tree bark before being collected.
To ensure maximum safety and effectiveness, the Derbós laboratory applies uncompromising quality standards in the production of METALDERB:
Controlled cultivation: All microalgae and medicinal mushrooms used in the formula are cultivated in a strictly controlled, clean environment, isolated from industrial pollution.
Specific extracts: Highly purified plant and mushroom extracts that are free from external toxins are used.
Laboratory purity testing: Every batch undergoes strict quality control to ensure that the ingredients reach you 100% pure.
